||When a probe from a distant galaxy goes awry on Earth its owners, tiny humanoids, follow it in a spacecraft which is fashioned to look and operate like a human (in a white suit). The aliens learn that the people of New York are quite nice really, but as their search progresses they are chased by a cop and the captain, Dave, is faced with possible mutiny.
||A number of events in which Dave, the spacecraft, finds out new stuff about earth people, and scenes inside as he eats, drinks and poops. No nudity, sex, drinking, drugs or really anything to make it a PG.
||This is an odd movie which requires Eddie Murphy’s talents as a comic actor but is somehow unsatisfying. Most critics felt that it was a film which children might like, but obviously not many did since it did not cover its costs. Just about acceptable if you are an Eddie Murphy fan.
