||The 1987 Predator film
||Jim Thomas, John Thomas
||Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Ruben Blades, Maria Conchita Alonso, Bill Paxton, Adam Baldwin
||Gang wars are taking places in Los Angeles, with limited police intevention apart from that of a hard bitten police lieutenant. But when he and his team begin to find mutilated gang members’ bodies strung up they realise that an even more viscious killer is on the prowl. As they pick up the scent they find themselves at odds with a special FBI squad, who are also on the trail
||Set in a dystopian 1997. A very noisy shoot out at the start, and a great deal of random machine gun fire as the gangs attempt to deal with the predator. Quite a bit of blood and gore, but mostly not seen quite head on. A bit of random female nudity. Increasing tension as the predator and the policeman begin to get the measure of each other.
||The very noisy start might put you off, it is a bit dated, and some of the acting is a bit below par. But it gets better. It might be better to see the first one before watching this if that is what you might be contemplating. Despite terrible reviews it made money, therefore ensuring a number of sequels and spin-offs.
